This is very nice but there is a very strong red/magenta cast which can easily be corrected. I also think the horizon isn't quite level.

yes i agree with you on the color cast. processed back in the days when i used to worked on a crappy, uncalibrated CRT monitor. also used the twilight picture style - what a moronic thing to do on my part :D

regarding the horizon, it's unimportant here. i was shooting the falls at an angle and getting it level will be chasing a false aesthetic sense, a case of getting it perfect doesn't necessarily translate to getting it right :)

i have one question and i need help.i don't have a slr yet,i have a crappy camera and trying to get the best out of it,i want to have long exposure time durring the day,but i cant.the image then turns all to white.some said i need a large f number like 16
mine only knows like 13,5 maximum but still i can't get the water to look like yours:(.if u know what's worng pls help me.even if it's buy a new camera :P

you need to shoot at the lowest ISO and the highest f-number. If you have done that, then you need to either use filters (this shot uses an ND8 which is equivalent to 3 stops of light and a polariser which block out one stop of light, allowing an exposure which is 16 times longer than the unfiltered shot) or shoot when it is darker.

didn't want to use a narrower aperture since a deeper DOF will only accentuate the water droplets forming on the lens's front element. i think f/16 is about my limit as i was mindful of diffraction and stuff. i think i used the lowest ISO i could have used.

sometimes, you just have to make do with the situation you are given. there are a lot of times i wished for a lot of things, like better light, better weather, etc. but i think one's skills get better when you are faced with less than ideal opportunities. it just drives your creativity to the limit :)

sorry that was a response to another question on your deviation which had left unanswered so I thought I would jump in. f13 is the limit for me usually.
Anyway I know you knew what you were doing is my main point!
