Amazing picture! I have the same filter and have gotten some nice results, but haven't seen this technique for post processing IR photos before. What did you mean with the "invert-color layer workflow"? Do you swap the Red-Blue color channels? I just love the yellow trees... Looks so good. When I shoot, my Nikon D40 won't let me choose a manual white balance in the range I need, so I just make sure to shoot in raw and adjust the white balance in post... Such a great picture! Props man!
yeah haha. it was a very long exposure on a bright and breezy noon. i never expected the trees not to move, in fact, i really wanted it to move and look surreal. i think it really compliments the unique IR colors.
i could have shot this normally at a much faster shutter speed and keep everything pin sharp. but that would be mundane
